DOGS of MARS: Dog from the Machine is being released on New Year's Day.
It's a retro-sci-fi setting; Total Recall, meets Bladerunner meets, The Thing/Resident Evil/Alien, meets late 80's early 90's anime, with dogs instead of people (because... anthro).
Dogs of Mars is more tongue-in-cheek than Imperium Lupi, and a little bit ruder, especially re. language. You have been forewarned. The book has had a long and painful birth with several missteps and re-writes over the years; fairly normal for a book really, but as some of you may know it was even published briefly under another title before I withdrew it and reworked it cover to cover. I very nearly consigned DOM to the dustbin with all my other secret failures.
Still it's all done now and I am happy with the final form it's taken. I will be producing related artwork going forward, as well as servicing Lupi as usual - I will always continue to practice drawing and writing, in general.
BTW I expect there'll be a few typos in Dogs of Mars V1.1, but if there are any they'll get caught soon enough and eliminated in updates. Please understand indie authors, like indie anyone, do not have the resources of huge publishing houses to help them out. That said I would like to thank the few people who pitched in on this one with their thoughts/corrections. I've never reached out before; I do not regret it.
The paperback version should follow the e-book release in a few days, depending on holiday timetables.

Styles
My style and perhaps skills have developed rapidly in the last few months, but I'm curious as to what kind of pics in my gallery appeal to people most. I don't say I would change course, it's hard to fight your natural progress, but I am curious.
I currently see 3 types of picture in my recent uploads...
1: New Look: Detailed fine lines with cel colours and shading; these are pictures with very detailed lines and a lot of hair, but with defined cel-style colours and shading. With these it's all about line weight and piling on details, whilst colouring gently to preserve the lines.
2: Painty ones: Detailed fine lines with watercolour or a paint-like effect, shading and texture. I use rough brushes here. These look flashy but are quite slapdash under the hood, and are forgiving error-wise, but maybe that's their appeal?
3: Classic Toons: Strong, thick, but broken lines with cel colour and shading. In some ways the hardest and technically the most accomplished, as they don't forgive errors, but also arguably the least 'adult' look, if you know what I mean.
I like them all, depending on how I feel. ^^
